true bloodlines

we have the roeles with the only (i think) true bloodline of andurias, the
gorgon et al for azrai, but what about the other derivations? i haven't
got all the sourcebooks; are there any other true bloodlines listed?

There's the Sielhr, the stone of light, which seems to hold an
equivalent amount of power to a true bloodline. It's mentioned in the
BoM.

As for true Azrai bloodlines, there's the Gorgon, Rhobhe, the Serpent
and the Spider. I can't remember if the Raven has a true bloodline.

Otherwise I can't think of anything in particuler. The el-Arrasi & Danig
lines seem to be a cut above the normal level of Great Bloodlines.

I don´t have found any reference about True blood-lines out the children of
Azrai ????? :*
I think it should be true lines of Basaia , Brenna .........

From what I have gotten from BR is that a true bloodline is a bloodline that
has been taken directly from one of the gods and held over the millenia. As
you said the raven, levithan, and the gorgon all have true bloodlines, since
they were the orginal recieptants of their bloodlines. That is what I think
on this subject, i invited further debate.

My little question to this is the nature of a true bloodline. True in no
way says anything about strength, correct? Therefore, a blood strength of 1
would be true if it had been passed onto an elf who had lived during the
time of Deismaar. Is this correct? If so, true bloodlines don't mean whole
lot except that you're old, and strength should remain the only factor in
describing bloodlines. My own two cents!

exactly, true bloodlines were from the gods directly to survivors, remember at
birth bloodlines are averaged and weakened depending on parents' bloodlines

Are you saying that a bloodline can remain true if it has been invested
from person to person all the way down the line to the present day? That
doesn't seem to make a whole lot of sense, as many more bloodlines would
count as true that way. If a true bloodline comes straight from god to
scion, and they weaken after the scion dies, then the true bloodline must
lost after death. As such, only an immortal or a near-immortal can hold
such a bloodline (elves and awnshegh). That's about it. And I still hold my
belief that true bloodlines have no value in this game except to say that
it is held by an immortal. The bugler of the elven troops who had to stay
in the back of the brigade and never entered combat may have recieved a
blood strength of 1 (because he didn't do jack) and if he was still alive,
he would have a true bloodline. It seems rather silly to me. However, I
would love to hear more opinions.

If the Roeles had a True Bloodline and this strength was passed on to each
child, then this would be passed on to Michael Roele and all his sisters.
As the sisters were all married off to different nobles in The Iron Throne
then the descendants of all these people would have True Bloodlines which
kind of doesn't make sense. Eg. Aerin Boeruine would have a True
Bloodline as his mother did, which he would pass on down to Aeric Boeruine.

Unless the strength is taken from the weakest parent, which I don't think
is true. So maybe a True Bloodline only stays with Immortals who were at
Deismaar, The Gorgon, Spider, Raven, Rhoube Manslayer etc and with the
champions of the other gods. As Roele and possible champions of other Gods
were not Immortal they could only pass on a True Bloodline by Investiture
of their chosen Successor.

On the other hand Michael Roele's father died before Investing him so I
just shot a hole straight through my own argument. :-) Either way
nobody's going to get their hands on a True Anduiras Bloodline unless they
are Chosen by the Land because of great deeds. Or wandering over to
Battlewaite and figuring out how to get Michael Roele's Bloodline out of
the damn ground. Oh hello Prince Raesane! What am I doing well I'm just
trying to get this Bloodline you see.........Aarrgh no! :-)

No. The true bloodlines are traced back to major champions of the old
gods (Raesene, the Serpent, the Spider etc.) and to close relatives of
the new Gods - Roele (who was presumably a fairly major Champion of
Anduiras as well).

People who got Great Bloodlines tended to be significant warrior types
(Wulf Danig), or standard bearers (Dosiere, that guy in Zoloskyaya
) or wives of major Champions (the Black Princess).

Random footsoldiers would just get minor bloodlines or something...
