????
new regime? you mean to(r|n)y blair?
although the british legal code is a few hundred years overdue for a
serious re-write.
which brings me onto a related birthright point: legal codes.
to what extent are the churches in ainuire able to try people for
religeous crimes?
a situation that came up in our game; an npc was detained for unsheathing
a sword in the temple of haelyn. fair enough. except she was then smuggled
out of the country, and put on trial in the imperial city: resulting in
all kinds of diplomatic flak. i'm still considering having the high
priestess of haelyn in my country quietly butchered.

As an example, there's still a law on the books in Bristol allowing you,
if you see a Welshman within the city after dark, to shoot him with a
Longbow. Which is unfortunate for my flatmate, because I'm still pissed
about the smell of leeks in our flat on St David's day.
A few such laws could be entertaining in Anuire. ISTR that something
simlar applies to Goblins in Mhoried...
neil
(I thought I'd confuse carrie with another acronym ;)

Don't forget: a successful Espionage action can get you a Heresy Random
Event for the Church of Haelyn in question.

Isn't the phrase, "Who will rid me of the troublesome Priest?"
Just remember what happened to the guy who first said it though.
