As usual i am always busy with restyling BRnet
most designs are never finished, like the one we have now.

but now i have made a design that is worth of finishing. A professional layout but with a BR look and feel.

the base resolution of the layout is 800x600 but i know lots of people do use a higher resolution than that.

so my question to you is, what do you prefer?

I voted for automatic resize, but I have noticed a limit to the rezize as it currently sits -- approximately 1024 wide.

I run my screen at 1600 x 1200, so expanding that maximum would be great

Out of curiousity (I like to be an informed voter) what would be the impact of a fixed higher resolution on users with smaller resolutions? This isn't really an issue for me (I use 1024x768) but I think that if it will end up being a hassle for low res peoples (with much more scrolling side to side being required for example) it may influence the way I vote.

well the impact is more on my side... the layout we are using now is fairly simple.
but the layout i designed is more complicated. so a variable screen res will be lots of work for me

if everyone wants to know what i am talking about..

its build on 800x600

i have done some research and still 48 (majority) of the world wide internet users is still using 800x600 since its the standard windows installation screen res.

1% of the world is still using 640x480

42% is using 1024x768
and only 9% is using a screen res higher then that

That looks pretty cool.
I don't mind if it's a bit more narrow than the full resolution of my screen.
At least then my eyes don't have to read so wide lines. ^_^
So in light of that, I'll vote 800x600.

I voted for 800 X 600, but then I've already mentioned how dirt and I are on a first name basis haven't I?

I voted for 800x600 too.

Your test page looks pretty cool, Arjan!

The letters shouldn't be smaller than that, because I don't want to fetch my glasses to spot something on it
