Domain Sourcebooks?
Hello,
I'm considering buying some domain sourcebooks for BR (Roesone, Ariya,
etc.), and I need opinions as to which ones are worth buying (and which
ones aren't). Please share your thoughts.
PS. If anyone on this list is from Denmark, please contact me privately. I
have a thing I need to discuss.

Domain Sourcebooks?
Greetings,
My personal favorite domain books are Baruk-Azhik and Tuarhievel, primarily
because they give a more in-depth glimpse into the dwarven and elven cultures
than can be found anywhere else. I would have preferred that even more of this
cultural information be given, but a little is certainly better than none at
all. It still seems odd that the authors of the only elven sourcebook gave the
realm a human ruler, but this odd twist does provide for a lot of internal
intrigue.
I wonder if there's any possibility of a dwarf/elf/halfling sourcebook seeing
print in '99? IMO these races are different enough from their standard AD&D
kindred that they beg for further development. I'll be the first in line if
anything like this hits the shelves.
Regards
Craig

as a player; buy the one you're playing. don't buy any others, it's not
worth it, and you'll spoil your enjoyment.
as a gm; force the plyers to buy their own, and read them. consider buying
those belonging to any major enemies, but you may get more mileage out of
making stuff up.

Actually this gives me a good idea! Questions about different BR suplements
are very common.
Something cool to have on the Netbook would be a set of reviews on the various
products. Maybe with several reviews of each product.
What do you all think?

Depends on which area you're interested most in (I.E. Anuire, Khinasi,
ect), and what kind of Regent (Primarily Law/Provinces, Primarily
Religious, Primarily Guild, etc).
I personally think I liked the Ariya sourcebook the best (in part because
it has the best city map by far, but also I think the Prince-Paladin is
faced with some interesting challenges, and has some interesting
"intangible" resources; such as ruling el-Arassi's city; in effect
Khinasi's "Imperial City.")
But really I haven't read a SB I didn't like*. So my over-all
recomendation would be to buy the one(s) closest to the type of
Regent/realm you (or your players) plan to run (even if you're not using
that specific realm/regent); I don't think you'll be disapointed.
*With the exception of holding the city maps of all but Ariya and Taline in
a minimum of high regard.

If someone wants to do the reviews, or maybe several people then I don't
mind adding them to my page.
