Good sirs variety is the spice of life. It does not matter whether the campagin world is filled with artifacts of power that would make the gods stir in thier sleep or rusty dented + 1 shortswords. Each campagin is unique with its own theme and story. So in the name of fun and glory do what you must to add your own touch to the campagin be it a Eldritch DragonLance or a Kenders Ioun Stone ( very questionable )
