    This may be obvious, but I wanted to be sure: using your system would you
    still factor in AC bonuses for high Dex. as per usual, or is that changed
    in some way?

    Dexterity bonuses are still applicable, as are the rules for parry,
    shields, main-gauche, &c. After much struggling with several systems I
    was pleased to devise one which left the outcome as familiar as possible.
    I might note that the HP absorbsion chart is based on Table 52 (p. 90) of
    the PHB. It was adjusted by other sources, most notably _The Palladium
    Book of Weapons and Armour_ by Matthew Balent.
