Speaking and Read/Write really are separate. If I could speak Japanese,
I could write down the sounds in english phonetics, and another person
who speaks Japanese and can read English would have a fairly good chance
of working out what I wrote. For instance, there is a Queen song called
"Teo Toriatte", these are Japanese words written in English.
