    Flying Castles ???

I would count it as a castle, but give it the ability to move from
province to province. In combat I would treat it like a combo of cliff
and fortification (missile defence, can't be charged.) I don't know
what I would do for sieges or castle level. It probably isn't that big,
but it would be hard to attack it.

I vaguely remember this, but I think it was old DL or Mystara artwork being
    reused for the ad.

I think that I remember that being on the box for the old SSI computer game
"Dark Knights of Krynn" for their Dragonlance series. At least I think that
is the name of the game. It is a very cool picture of one of the floating
citadels with a small band of riders riding out on the ground infront of it.

OH YEAH!! That add. I've been getting Dragon for years, and I didn't
recall any like that for Birthright, but yeah, there was a picture like
that for DL, and I think they used a similar one for one of the Spellfire
card game adds. The guys riding horses in the foreground were Lord Soth
and his death knights, I think.

Interesting point of view. For siege, i would suppose it would be impossible: how
can you make siege to something up in the air, that could move await whenever it
wants and can bombard you when it likes? One way would to have air support. But i
cannot think about anything but another flying castle. For flying creatures, they
have to rest and a siege is impossible if half of the time you're on the ground.

If that castle is laying siege, i suppose it would only count as long as it has
armies in it and it should use the normal war rule.
