We went round and round on this at the office after one particular
playtest. I was playing a priest of Eloele who secretly ran a certain
thieves' guild (see HAVENS and, particularly, Muden, for that character). I
argued that, since she had thief abilities at half my level, she should be
able to collect RP from these sources.

Everyone else said "no," and I argued.

I was, however, eventually met with an argument I could accept. Priests of
Eloele gain thief abilities (PP, OL, etc.) at half their level of
experience. They can backstab, etc. They do not, however, gain the
advantages thieves have when running guilds because those are not,
technically, thief abilities--they're regent abilities linked to a
particular class. I know that might be splitting hairs, but it allowed me
    to concede the argument.

She kept the guild, though ... ;-)

BTW: As always, you can run this anyway you want, but I strongly recommend
going with our "official" ruling here. When I did the math on my own high
priest/guildmaster's RP & GB collection after only a few modest domain
turns, she had enough power to take over Muden or use realm spells to blast
    her enemies into oblivion.

Yah, but 1) she'd get the GB no matter what, and 2) RP collection usually
ends up being more of a function of Bloodline than Realm strength, anyhow.
So it might be she would've been that powerful regardless of the ruling.
