From ehat I can recall from Cities, until quite recently, the Khinasi
still traded with Djapar, that IS another continent and the homeland
of the Basarji. However, things became quite frosty between them as
the people of Djapar still worship Basaia, and have never heard of
this new god Avani, so the Khinasi have more or less been frozen out
by their homeland, which is ruled with a bit of an iron hand by all
accounts, as being religious nuts with 'dangerous' new ideas that the
    people shouldn't be exposed too.
The Sahirde-el-Mehare did have colonies of either the Basarji or
Masetians on them, but I think they went backward or left/died out.
The islands are a often-used stopover point for water etc.
    I think (?!).

"No, priest. No one pays for lambs."

    Another Continent???

    Hello folks!

I was looking very closely at the regional map that came with the Cities =
of the Sun campaign expansion and I found something very interesting!! =
There is an insert map on the lower left hand corner of big map that =
shows the relative position of the Khinasi lands, the Sahirde el-Mehare, =
and the Dragon Isles. Then in the lower right corner of the inset is a =
little chunk of land labelled Djapar! Could this be another continent? =

We know that the current Khinasi peoples are a mixture of the Masetans, =
and the Basarji. To the best of my recollection, neither of these races =
originated on Aduria. I believe that one of the groups (the Masetans I =
think) came from the Dragon Isles. Perhaps the Basarji came from =
    Djapar. =20

We also know that the Basarji must have held a very high respect for =
magic. We know the Masetans liked it as well, but I do believe it was =
the Basraji who started the mage-king tendenancies. Maybe Djapar is a =
continent where education and magical prowess is more important than =
traditional military power. Perhaps where wars are waged in single mage =
to mage combat and having to result to mere physical power is frowned =
upon. (I know I am rambling and dreaming here, but one can hope...)

Any rate, am I reading more into that than is warranted or was that a =
deeply imbedded hint at something else out there on Aebrynis?

Yes, I knew there was a name for that darn planet, I just couldn't find it
anywhere! I think that the continent you see really is where the Basarji
came from, I seem to recall reading that somewhere, but I really couldn't
    say where.

Well, at the very least it's a whole new realm to explore and send your
    players off to.

BTW there is no were about the Basarji, they are still here, just calling
themselves Khinasi. In Cities of the Sun it talks about this a little bit.
The Basarji peoples called themselves Khinasi to honor El-Arasi, remember,
Khinasi means "The people/lands under the protection of El-Arasi" or
    something very near that.

Read a little bit about the Serpent (if you're new to the set) and you'll
find remnants of the Masetians in his realm too.

As far a Djapar goes... I have vague memories of the name, but I'm not sure
if I read it in a BR book or in another series/story... (and no, I'm not
crying plagerism or copycat... I just can't remember where it was....)
