Here's my take on it. Psionicists in Birthright must be feared individua=
    ls, or
they'd be allowed. The reason why they are so rare is because people are=
    scared to
death of the them, or the discipline. But if you want to have a psionici=
    st in a
    campaign this could happen:

A new character could have psionic potential, but his appearance sparks s=
    omething,
something really important. Only at the end of a couple of adventures, t=
    he PC
discovers his true might, being psychically endowed. Then he must go on =
    adventure
to find a psi-master to learn his true might.

Wheel of Time dirivitive (I think that's how you spell it) story line.

I don't know the answer to this one myself, but it's been hashed over
numerous times. So, somebody answer his question, and let's make sure
this one gets on the FAQ as well.

I'm sorry, but I've thought of another one for the FAQ. Somebody
reproduce the answer to "Do I need to have Guilds at both ends of a
trade route?" Please, that's a question we get quite a bit.

No; not unless your DM makes you.

Well, personally, I believe you DO have to have them, and that what the
book meant to say is that you get the average of your two holding levels
    as your income.

That seems a heck of a lot fairer than having a level 0 holding in a
level 10 province run a trade route to another level 10 province and
start raking in 10GB and 10RP per turn for having accomplished basically
    nothing.

    That's my 2GB worth.

Opps, missed commenting on this, and I just *can't* let anything go
    uncommented on!

Well, that's clearly not what is meant; all the examples used average the
    P. levels, regardless of the holding levels the TR owner has. But, IMO,
that might be something to playtest for the upcomming rules revision. TRs
should be valuable enough to have, but they shouldn't be, so, well,
dominating. On the other hand, Province rulers should get a bit more
income. Mabie some day soon I'll try and work something out as a suggestion
to Ed et al (not that anyone has to listen, of course...) Because you're
right that it seems a shame that just because ol' Mieles Buired has a guild
    (0) in Masetiele (5/0) he should be able to create a T.R. to Anuire the
City and get 7 (or 8) GB per turn, though I think he needs the cash, this
might not be the best way, rules and realism-wise, for him to get it. But
it is the way it works now.

The DM shouldn't, actually. A guild doesn't trade with itself (usually), or
necessarily even with other guilds. That's why the province levels are so
important in trade route figuring--a guild goes into a province (well, a
trade route, does, anyway) and sells its stuff to whomever wants to buy.
This could be another guild or a bunch of individuals or other regents.
