The rules specify that a unit may not attack more than one at a time.
I would agree with this completely if the battle map represented the appropriate scale, but it does not.
Tell me what amount of area these units of 200 are running around in. I have found no indication of ANY scale.
As an abstraction of conflicts of different sizes, I think the implicit scale is dependent on the number of units involved.
If you are going to treat the battle map as a real map then I want flank and rear advantages to my attacks. :-)

If you stack everything, its possible that a rain of arrows could
kill everything. I also wouldnt allow more than 4 units in one
square.
Its also a bad idea strategically..
