There are some messages that are so jumbled by html that I just load up the

boards to read the message rather than cast Read Magic.

Anytime anything gets quoted on a board message it happens. Don`t take it

    personally or anything ;)

Um... I don`t think it`s *just* that. Awhile ago, I remember some

complaints that forum users were annoyed with the way quoted text from

the List was presented within the body, making it hard for some users to

determine which parts were quotes and which weren`t. I don`t know if

that problem was ever fixed or not, so I thought I`d mention it...

That was a different thing, having to do with html markup on the board

which was transferred over to the list when quoting. {quote} tags around

parts of the message and such, which if you`re used to reading plain email

quoted as I did above, isn`t immediately obvious.

That still happens a big, but isn`t a big deal, I`ve gotten used to

skimming messages and visually grepping for the new bits. The newer thing

is that the html linebreaks aren`t being transferred to email, so when

someone posts a multi-paragraph message, it looks like one gyhugeous one.

Again, not a deal-breaker, but a bit harder to read. I`m just glad the

scripts are up and running again period, since for a little bit there we

could receive posts from the board, but not reply to them in a way anyone

would see from the board, very disconcerting.

Of course, we used that time to discuss, on the list, how to manage a

hostile takeover of, well, you`ll never know if you weren`t on the list,

    now will you?

    :)

Yes i solved that problem back then, but i recently installed a newer

version of the forumsoftware, and all the previous edited stuff was over

written. So some of the "old" problems came back while others were

    solved.

Like I said, will look into it

hmm all msgs were imported when the script came online again, so none of

    the communication was lost...

it was just a matter of time till they found out about it ;)

in plain PHP this would do the job with a limited set of HTML tags, but the forum uses a combination of HTML, XML and javascript tags.
i have to strip everysingle tag piece by piece

    just takes time..
