Hi, I think I own all of the published Player's Secrets but I'm looking for computer versions of the cover art for these things (I have no way to scan them myself). I tried the search function in this forum but can't seem to find a link to a webpage that shows the different birthright products (though I'm sure the website exists cause I've been there before). If anybody has such a link I'd really appreciate it.

Also, anyone know if Tony Szczudlo has or ever will have a website to show off his art? I think the Blood Enemies Gorgon (p.28) is the single scariest picture I've ever seen (followed closely by the vampire on p.101). I'd love to have one of those pics as my wallpaper but again, no scanner.

I don't know if there's anyplace to get the cover art. You might try looking at ebay, which often has BR material and sometimes includes photographs of cover art for the items up for auction.

There is a website (http://www.riverstyx.com/tsrart/4saleNOFLASH.html) that has a bunch of art from various WotC/TSR artists, including Tony Szczudlo. As I recall it includes the cover art from several products that were released as well as several portraits from products that were never released.

I have some scan of various BR products online (I originally scanned them for Arjan to use for this website). You can find the images at http://users.chariot.net.au/~hoss/gallery/

I didn't scan any of the covers of the Player's Secret books though, didn't really see the point.

Thanks. There are some good pics there. I agree there normally wouldn't be much point in the Player's Secrets covers but I'm making a Birthright Risk Computer game and I wanted to have the different crests to represent each player's starting nation. Ah well, I may just have to borrow a digital camera. Thanks anyway.

Many of the blazons on the PS`s are not viable blazons. The purpose of such

a device is to identify a person at a distance under less than ideal

conditions. The ones presented are far too cluttered to do that effectivly.

For example, the BR computer game opted for a much simpler two-color design

which was meant to be functional. Trying to make little emblems based on

the Medoere just isn`t practical. The blazons on the covers of Medoere,

Ilien, and Roesone are particularly bad. At a distance with some dusk

kicked up on an overcast day these will convey no information. By contrast,

note the surcoat of (presumably) Marlae Roesone on p.10 of RoE, p. 20 of the

Roesone PS, and other places. Its a simple black hart on a gold field. The

baroness seems to wear a profile head of the hart, her court is decked out

in a full hart. This is a blazon that can be identifed. So what is on the

cover of the Roesone PS? Well the only entities which have such messed of a

coat of arms are people in the post battlefield era. So I interpret these

coats of arms as geneological coats of arms of the ruler of the realm in

question. So AFAIC, Roesone`s blazon is a black hart on a gold field.

Medoere is a silver unicorn on a blue field. Ilien is a red ship on a gold

    field.

I think that this link is what you're looking for:

    http://home.flash.net/~brenfrow/br/br.htm

Let me know if it is, so I can either stop looking or look harder.

Useful if you want a high quality image of those maps.

    Hi!

    About these pictures:

    http://users.chariot.net.au/~hoss/ga...zczudlobr2.jpg
    http://users.chariot.net.au/~hoss/ga...zczudlobr3.jpg

They show, of course, Vos and Khinasi. Do any of you know if are there any paintings of this "serie" from the other cultures? Also, is there possible to find these images in a better resolution - for printing I mean...
I presume they were never used by TSR... what a pity; they are soooo cool!Szczudlo is the man!

    Thanks!

They are the only copies of those images I ever encountered. They were meant to be used for the revised BR setting, but it was never released by wotc and so the images were never used.

I got the images from this site...

A shame too, that due to Copyright laws, we can't use those images in the d20 BR sourcebooks or Atlas...
