Would the "big bad wolf" of little red riding hood be an awnsheghlin? I mean how many wolves have the powers of speech?

Not sure if this counts as fable or myth but what about Beorn from the
    Hobbit.

If it`s the same wolf who had a taste for hog triplets then it might be

I think that the "obvious" explaination is being missed - that little red riding hood is actually a druid. Perhaps she is really "The Little Red Riding Hood", an awnshegh of unspeakable power whose exploits have been translated into "fables" to avoid bringing down her wrath. What she did to that poor defenseless wolf.;)
