I am starting a new PBEM in Anuire, using a combination of 2nd edition and
d20 Birthright rules along with some modifications of my own. Here is the
    game background:

In 555 MR, a Sword and Crown is held in Cariele, with most of Anuire`s
nobility and leaders, as well as foreign rulers, in attendance. The
gathered regents attempt to resolve the most acute topics of dispute in
Anuire. At the heat of the debate, the wizard Daeric Dhoesone uses the Book
of Days to open a portal to the Shadow World, allowing hordes of undead led
by the Cold Rider to enter. The Cold Rider rampages through the hall,
slaying nearly everyone present, including Caliedhe Dosiere and his heir.
The undead horde then pours out, marching southwards to overrun the
Heartlands. But it is halted at Torien`s Watch as the Gorgon`s forces
invade from Markazor. In an epic battle, the Gorgon destroys the Cold
Rider, though some sages say that it was possible only at a great cost to
himself. The Gorgon`s army then inexplicably withdraws from Mhoried back to
Markazor, despite all of Anuire lying nearly defenseless before it.
Soon, new rulers rise in Anuirean realms, eyeing each other suspiciously,
wondering if anyone else could be a traitor like Daeric Dhoesone. Old
alliances are broken and a new era begins.
The government of the Imperial City of Anuire is taken over by the Imperial
Guard and the Lord Mayor Roger Melien. Several members of the Dosiere
family living in other realms object to this, each claiming to be the
rightful heir to the Chamberlain`s office.

Basically, in this game, every player is expected to create a new character
as his regent. There are also almost no starting alliances or vassalages.
All this is intended to allow people more freedom in setting a course of
action for their realms. I have also eliminated the Spider and the Chimaera
    - the Gorgon and Rhuobhe are the only awnsheghlien remaining in Anuire.

I generally have no upper limit to the number of players in my games, so
everyone is welcome to join. The game website is here:

You could always try one of the other links. The second link works for me to reach his site, but it doesn't access the latest PBeM.
