Several folks expressed the opinion that there should be no new derivations
added to the Elemental Control blood ability, so I`m sure the same folks
will have the same objection to the following question.

The Travel blood ability grants a limited form of teleportation to all the
derivations except Anduiras and Reynir. All those teleportation effects
are limited by special conditions under which it operates; walk into a
fire, moonrise/moonset, etc. If we were to have Travel effects for
Anduiras and Reynir what might they be? How might a scion of either of
those derivations activate his ability to teleport?

The obvious answer for Reynir is to walk into a tree and pop out of
another, similar tree somewhere else. Existing (A)D&D spells suggesting a
mechanic for this are: 3e, 5th-level Druid spell Tree Stride; 2e, combine
5th-level Pass Plant and 6th-level Transport via Plants. The restrictions
of finding trees at least as big around as you are and having to travel
only between trees of the same species should help; for example, you could
easily travel from Boeruine to Cariele or Aerenwe, but not to Lutkhovsky
or Hogunmark (wrong trees) or Ghoere or Ariya (no trees big enough).

Anduiras uses air, and air is everywhere, so it`s a bit too easy as is --
we need some sort of restriction. Noting that Basaia scions must step
into a roaring bonfire, and that Anduiras is the god of courage as well as
air, his must look at least as scary, or even moreso. I suggest jumping
off a cliff, tower, flying dragon, etc, and then landing softly somewhere
else you might similarly have fallen to from a great height. Just as with
the Basaia Travel ability, the scion is protected, but anyone else
accompanying him/her had better be protected by Feather Fall or Fly or
face serious falling damage. It seems a bit Hitchhikery (the secret to
    flight is to fall while forgetting to hit the ground), but it could work;
in terms of story value, it is excellent for dramatic escapes. Again, the
requirement of height variation makes it restricted in scope: it`s no good
for getting to or from the plains, except between towns and castles. To
tighten the restriction, increase the required height: e.g., make it so
only a fall of at least 50 or 100 or 200 feet can enable Travel -- note
that if you guess wrong, and the fall is shorter than you thought, it
could get ugly; alternately, you`d still be safe by virtue of the "the
scion isn`t harmed" clause (copied from the Basaia version of the
ability), but it would use up one of your Travels for the week with just a
Feather Fall effect instead of a Teleport effect, which seems mostly fair.

Anduiras` travel might be as simple as the ability to fly. But since it
doesn`t involve instantaneous translocation, I`d call it "Flight" instead
    of "Travel."

I like the suggestion of jumping from a cliff, but my first thought was a little more macob - they can only travel to the burial sites of dead kings. You could limit it further to be only sites that they are aware of.
