This is kind of an odd question, but let`s assume that the Land`s Choice
could be used to create entirely new bloodline derivations based on gods
other than the seven standard ones. Cuiraecen, Eloele and Laerme have a
couple of scions running around with their derivation. Heck, let`s say
Moradin has a few running (or tunneling) around too.

    1. What blood abilities should be available to these scions?

    2. Are there other types of blood abilities these scions should have?

Hey Gary, let me add to your question a little. Should the Lost (or any
other hand selected, avatar-like being) have a bloodline and how high should
it be considering that it was directly granted.

My response to your question is that I believe that they could grant a
bloodline (invest a part of themselves) into select champions. But I do not
know if it should be hereditary. These guys would be more akin to Saints
than to dynastic blooded heroes, from my POV anyway.

Powers - gack. I would start by looking at some of their domain spells and
    domain special abilities.

I'd say that any monster can have a bloodline - and in fact most of them do. That is what powers their abilities, and most are descended from Awishleign anyway.

IMC, I give monsters a blanket bloodline strength depending on their HD and type - generally HD*1 or HD*2.

We know very little about the Lost. Personally, I don`t think they should
have the equivalent of a bloodline. Bloodline should be in some way
connected to Deismaar. The Lost could just be guys given the ability to
cast True magic, or maybe not even that. I rather like the idea that they
were simply people who were granted the ability to take levels in a class
much like the magician but instead of specializing in divination and
illusion they could have access to schools like necromancy and shadow.

Whether or not it`s possible, or how it`s possible isn`t what I`m really
worried about. The Land`s Choice is powerful enough to create new
bloodlines out of nothing, and I`m assuming it is powerful enough to create
entirely new derivations for those new bloodlines. Oh, maybe it took a few
centuries for Aebrynia/Gaia to figure out how to do that, but after
experimentation on various mortal test subjects now She/He/It... They can
create whole new bloodlines based on derivations that don`t exist--except
as progeny of the gods themselves. Who knows what maniacal combinations
They might be able to create after They master the combinations that
produced Cuirecen, Laerme and Eloele? Will the Land itself spawn new
bastardized bloodline derivations based on the mingling of Kreisha and
Ruornil? Avani and Belenik? Could the power that resides in the very
earth experiment with the blood of Azrai himself? The motives of such a
being are far beyond our ken....

But fortunately it doesn`t matter for now. What I`m curious about is which
of the extant blood abilities might a posited bloodline derivation of
Cuirecaen, Laerme or Eloele have? Here`s a list that folks can just cut
and paste, deleting the ones they don`t think are appropriate for each of
    those gods.

Alertness, Alter Appearance, Animal Affinity, Battlewise, Blood History,
Bloodmark, Character Reading, Courage, Detect Lie, Detect Illusion,
Direction Sense, Divine Aura, Divine Wrath, Elemental Control, Enhanced
Sense, Fear, Healing, Heightened Ability, Iron Will, Persuasion, Poison
Sense, Prot. from Evil, Regeneration, Resistance, Shadow Form, Touch of
    Decay, Travel, Unreadable Thoughts.

There are more, of course, but those are the ones from the original RB.

I`d say this cannot happen. "The Land`s Choice" is a random manifestation of
some of the divine energy that is floating around. And none of Moradin`s
divine energy is randomly floating aroud at all, since he controls it all.

If it did happen, you`d have to build from the ground up, in the same way
    every other bloodline is.

Yeah the problem with creating more derivations is that they were based on the "death" of the god. Using the examples in deities and demigods this could happen, but the god would have to die regardless. IMO it was the epic proportion of their death that resulted in the bloodlines.

    Well...there is a possibility!

The Book of Priestcraft says that Eloele, Cuiraecen and Laerme were born by their deific parents....maybe their births brought so much power into the world that their forms could not hold unto it all, and some of it spilled and washed over the land....signalling the advent of bloodlines of Eloele, Cuiraecen and Laerme..........?

It`s always bothered me a little that we just have 7 human gods. I mean,
unless only humans get bloodlines - what`s the point? Why does a
dwarf/elf/goblin/gnoll/whatever get a human god`s bloodline? But, the
supposition is the death of a God for the godly essence to be available.
This sort of equates to no non-human bloodlines (unless there are dead
    gods we don`t know about!).

My take on bloodlines from Land`s Choice would be that either the absorbed
derivations got all mixed up, so that when the "new" bloodline is granted by
the land it ends up being sort of "schizophrenic" (i.e. all the derivations
at once) until one of them comes to the fore by being most sympathetic with
the nature of the possessor. Thus, a sailor or someone with a melancholic
temperament might end up with Masela`s derivation.

Either that or the the derivation were all churned together and became a new
thing, which I suppose might as well be called the "Aebrynnis" or "Cerilia"
derivation. I don`t know that I would give derivations from a god that had
not been present at Deismaar from Land`s Choice, but I suppose that there`s
nothing preventing those gods from doing so of their own accord now that
they know it can be done.

I may try to give coherent answers to the questions you actually asked when
    I have my books handy.
