Firstly, I should point out that not everyone has a cheap and fast connection to the internet such as those of us in the US, Australia and Europe. Thus it was good to keep the size down for those members of the BR community who may have to suffer from download limits, timed local calls, etc.

Also, there is no reason why the final version of the BRCS cannot be released as a combined version, but it could not have been released when it was as a combined version for the simple reason that only the rulebook is complete. The Atlas is currently being worked on and is a couple of month (at least) away from a first release (which will be Anuire). So it is far to early to make any decision on the final release now, that will have to wait until some time down the track, when we have both the Atlas and Rulebook to combine.

The Atlas will also be considerably larger than 200 pages, most likely in the 350-500 range, depending how much time is spent on each realm, and what else we add.

Personally, however, I don't see the need to combine the two books, but if we do, we then have to ask ourselve what else we want to include. Do you also add in the Book of Scion/Monsters that is in planning? Include an adventure or two? and so on.

I still use a 56 KB modem, if I'm at home. Trust me, it is NO fun downloading even a 5 MB file from there. A 30 to 50 MB or even 1 GB file would take a whole night downloading it. That would be REALLY awfull. Please keep files at minimum size as possible. I CAN download files quicker (and cheeper) if I'm at the university, but not everybody has a "backup" place where to download larger files...
