Just wondering where and why the cloistered cleric isn't in the playtest doc, I liked him (and my campaign has one).

You may use the Adept (DMG) as a cloistered cleric, if you like it. There is no need to describe him especially...

I don't think a cloistered was this good idea of 2nd Edition. IMO there should be no difference between PC and NPC clerics...

As long as we remember that not all people in cloisters and churches and
temples in Cerilia are clerics, but only a few of them are.
Clerics as members of that class and able to cast divine spells are as
the other character classes rare in Cerilia.

Most people in religious institutions that formerly have been level 0
Cleric NPCs in 2E would be Commoners and Experts, e.g. as scribes.

So there is no difference between NPC and PC clerics, but both are only
a few among the followers of a temple.
    bye

Um, I think you misunderstand. I was refering to the cloistered cleric rules for PCs that Travis Doom had included in his conversion document. Any plans to include them? And if no, why?

Basically, the monastic version of the cleric was a bit too much of a house rule thing - I still like the idea, but overall, I don't think it's a "BR specific" enough idea to warrant inclusion in the base BR rules.
