Does anyone have any rules on creating special units? i have been working on some for a bit and thought i'd post them.

you take the basic cost of the unit you are using as a template say Elite Infantry (4GB). now if you have various optiions on increases

*increase movement by 1 (max) 1GB
*Increase morale by 1 (to a max of 3) 1/2 GB per point
*Increase defense by 1 (to a max of 6) 1/2 GB per point
*Extra hits (to a max of 3) 1/2 GB per point
*increase melee/missile/charge to a max of +2 extra 1/2 GB per point
*New attack i.e. Knights with missile (stat start at 0) 1GB
*Give unit battle magic capability (i.e. mage or priest) 1Gb (assumes training with caster)
*Ignore F & R caused by everything except magic 1 GB per point
    * Maintanence cost for unit is standard
*units created by the church already have ignore F results caused by everything nut magic
    Special abilities
    *Healing
if the unit is allied to a church then once per day they are able to heal one hit of damage (which may be during combat goes in magical phase) to get this skill is a one off donation to the church
    *Turning
If the unit is allied with a church it may once per day Turn or rebuke (if Evil) undead. To get this ability is a one off donation to the churh of 2GB
    *Extra Attack
by training extensively a unit is able to get a second attack every 2 rounds. the cost of this training is 2GB. This attack happens at end of Combat phase.

    Roesonean Royal Guard
    Move: 2 Melee: 6
    Defense: 6
    Morale: 3 Healing
    Turning
    Hits: 3 Extra Attack
    Ignore F & R results
    Muster 15 1/2 GB

    Expensive but powerful.

Any thoughts? or other creation ideas.

    Cheers

There are already official 2E rules in the downloadable Book of Regency
    to Improve a unit (p. 85-88), or
    "semi-official"? rules in Travis Doom´s 3E manual on p. 47
