This post will come as a surprise to a few of you. I hate what you are doing! I love Birthrights ideas but never liked the way they played out. I lost many friends over this game because it is slow and boring.
Sure the idea of being a king is great, but not when the rules lag a DM enough that role-playing becomes impossible. The people who are running the revision have no vision. They (yah you!) are missing what is truly important here.
Okay, so Cerilia IS one of the most beautifully detailed gaming worlds. Does that mean that there are no realms on any other worlds. My point is why is Birthright a campain setting and not a d20 supplement. Oh and before you go criticizing me for not thinking this through understand I have been playing it since its release.
Here is my vision. Massive Strategy Rulership for d20 Fantasy.. Birthright without Cerilia. Go ahead and release Birthright if you want but my game can be used in Anybody's Campain world. Resource management that's fast and abstract. Emphasis on actions and not collection. War rules rooted straight in d20 (with all the possible war units of any individual characters you can create, see they represent the majority of a fighting force). Regions of a grid as opposed to static provinces.
Now if my game takes off yours will fail.. but I don't want that cause I love the story. I want us both to gain regency here. I want to work for you.. ([_]To be the King of Cerilia takes more than than just an iron fist, it also takes a golden heart.

What you're saying certainly has merit, and I have often thought of doing this myself, but I love the *WORLD* as well as the rulership jazz, so what is being done is the right choice in that respect. (At least IMO). The BRCS is updating the Campaign Setting of Cerilia into 3E terms that fit with the flavour of the original campaign.
It is not the intention of the BRCS to be a generic rule set for worldy politics in a D&D game. That's a different topic & project IMO, and one that you have already been spending alot of time on by the sounds of it."You need people of intelligence on this mission... quest... thing."

Yes, well why I have ambition I don't have connections to do anything about it and would rather work with you guys on this. I don't want to be anybody's rival I just think it needs to be done. If they are different then we come to the very problem d20 was meant to eliminate.

Just about anybody who understands the OGL/STL can self publish on RPGNow -
they seem more than willing to give the little guy a chance to publish
alongside luminaries such as Cook & Reynolds. No up front fees, no weird
garbage, just a nice distribution center for all of those who have done the
work but do not have the know how or start-up funds for print publishing.
Many of these PDFs have gone on to see print by S&SS, MEG, & Goodman games.
Not having connections is not really an excuse any longer.
If you have done good generic work, approach one of the big`uns and let them
look it over to see if they would be interested in publishing for you. BUT,
right now there are 2-3 mass combat/war type supplements in the works and
few are going to receive much attention when Skip Williams is writing
Malhavoks "Cry Havok." Personally, I was looking forward to Matt Colville`s
(Eden Studios) WAR book, but he is no longer with the project.
d20 is a niche but it is really very diverse, shackling yourself to
Birthright while trying to put out a generic War Machine type of product is
probably not a keen business decision.
Just some thoughts.
