When Ibelcoris the former Queen of Tuarhievel married the Baron of Dhoesone, some lands from Tuarhievel, specifically some forested provinces were given to the Barony.

Were they dowry?
Were they a peace treaty gift?
Was there a treaty involving their future?
Was it simply a gift to the Baron or to Fhiele Dhoesone?

Any information is welcome. I already have a quotting from page 6 of the Tuarhievel sourcebook

"If antihuman elves were behind Ibelcoris' death, then their efforts backfired. Her children, Flilaraene (her son by Fhilerwyn) and Fhiele (her dauighter by the Baron of Dhoesone), assumed the leadership of Tuarhievel and Dhoesone and continued to expand elven and human relations. As a gesture of goodwill and a symbol that House Llyrandor still controlled all of Tuarhievel through the Thorn Thone, Fhileraene even granted Fhiele Dhoesone shared authority over some of the provinces where House Tuarlachiem was strongest"

This however seems to refer to the Law holdings that FD has in Tuarhievel rather than the lands that Tuarhievel gave to Dhoesone.

Thanks for the help :)

Where exactly did you get the impression that Tuarhievel gave Dhoesone a land dowry with the marriage of Ibelcoris? If you have any source, I'd like to know it, since I must apparently have gone over it.

I am asking :) I dunno if it was a dowry, but I do know that some lands from Tuarhievel were given to Dhoesone. I just don't know the reasons :)

well, where did you get that some lands from Tuarhievel were transfered to Dhoesone then? I was aware of the law holdings, but not the provinces.

I presumed it was more of a relinquishing of claims to provinces that had
long since been overrun with humans.

It was probably highly important to the sidhelien, but nothing more than
a formality to the humans living there. Then again it might have meant
that the sidhelien finally stopped trying to kill human settlers which
is probably highly significant to said settlers.
