Is there a point that you want moderators to remove threads? Such as when no one has responded on it for over 6 months.

Also I am not sure that we are doing what you want with the l-mail. There seems to be four pages of stuff. I only move it to another category when it is a posting that a number of people have participating in. I also don't move multiples of the same thing. Am I making the right call here?

I would be willing to gander that if nobody posts on a thread in 4-6 months, it's a dead thread that could be removed to reclaim space on hte server

Emerald, Arjan sees no reason to remove dead threads because he has plenty of space on the server. However, when starts to get filled up, we will start by removing all your posts. ;)

I`d doubt the server would ever fill up by simple txt messages since it
still
got lots of space, and if it runs out we`ll propably just put in another
disk :)

There`s an archive for birthright-l as well, so everything gets sent there
as well. In the unlikely event that birthright.net`s server runs out of
space then the Wizards server is there.

Beyond server space, does anyone see a reason to remove dead threads?

Some are kind of pointless. "Me too" posts don`t serve a lot of purpose
and could be removed to conserve the eyeball juice of people trying to read
the threads....

Ok. Just a thought.
