Recently I have went through my old CD backups and uncovered my Birthright archives from my early years of online activity in the BR community. There have been requests over the years of items previously thought lost that I now know I have. If there are any requests of old items send them here and I'll take a look to see if I have it. There are no guarantees that I have what you've been looking for, but I hope I can help someone find that long lost lore they have wanted over the years. Examples of previous requests are the Peter Hodge Aibiele Island document, and the old Birthright mailing list archive of the years 96-98.

A comprehensive list of everything that I have is not available at this time, sorry requests only.

Albiele Island would be nice. I forgot that the material even existed.
I would also like the following old resources if you have them:
Player's Secrets of Alamie that was on the web long ago, author unknown
Anything you might have from Ian Hoskins' work on Aduria and the Imperial City
Any information on old Anuirean Empire from Imperium Birthright PBeM
Sahirde el-Mehare campaign expansion, author unknown

I also have some obscure material that doesn't seem to be available for download on birthright.net:
The Illwater Tower, an adventure by Morg from bloodsilver.com
The Town of Thoeren's Landing by Morg from bloodsilver.com
The Domain of Diemed, a Player's Secrets - like document by Robert Gresham
Various maps by Morg from various websites
Manni's Warcards

Hey Magian, if you have a list of any of the Players Secrets you might have I'd love to see them.

Don't forget that the archives of the Wizards end of the mailing list go back to 1999.

I was able to find Albiele Island, PS Alamie, Ian's Aduria and Imp City, Sahirde el-Mehare, and an old document with Anuire from Michael's conquests from the War novel not sure if that's what you wanted or if it was from Imperium PBEM.

The adventures from Morgramen I couldn't find, I know there was a time where I didn't bother archiving adventures, and did later, looks like they slipped away.

I think what I'll do is submit these files requested and more to the downloads section over the next few days. I am not sure about some of them if its even OK for me to post them.

Which brings me to the Warcards. I have them all scanned including Manni's warcards. Any inputs on if I should submit the TSR scans or not?

I found some maps and I am not sure if they are the ones from Morgramen's site or not. What were they like? I have the ones that allowed you to manipulate the political borders by coloring in province colors. I get mixed up if that was his or Solmyr's stuff.

PS list that I have:

Aerenwe
Alamie
Albiele Island
Mieres
Osoerde Map
Diemed
Southern Coast (Atlas from BR.net team)
The Church of Storm
Osoerde (RTF a document I think that is separate from the map above)
The Impregnable Heart of Haelyn
The Order of Haelyn
College of Sorcery (Another project like Ian's)
City of Anuire (Ian Hoskins project)
Proudglaive Maps
Ghoere (Looks like its on BR.net already)

Hogunmark and Muden (on BR.net)
Rohrmarch x3 (I have 3 different documents for this realm)
Harrowmarsh

Sahirde el-Mehare

Treatise on the Shadow World (on BR.net)
Monsters (Peter Hodge's monsters from the shadow world)

There are some other PS that I have. They are labeled as PS but are so short as to be like an entry for a realm in Ruins of Empire. I found out these were submissions to the BR.net website from the format it had before this current one. Speaking of...I have 3 backups of BR.net from the years. A very early one that was compiled by Arjan and made available to us to download. A newer one where I manually saved the webpages. And this current one, downloads only.

Not only do I have the mailing list from 96-99, but I have the old WotC threads that I saved, the new WotC threads that I just saved, and a Gurps forum discussion about BR.

The maps I found I'll probably organize them and submit them accordingly.

Any more requests are welcome. Anyone else that has stuff they'd like to offer go ahead and use this thread.

Wow, you wouldn't happen to be an archivist as your day job, Magian?

Sadly it appears to be my strong point, constantly acquiring things and saving them. I do it so much that I get lost in it when I am trying to work on other projects like actually playing the game.

Is there a limit to the size of a file that we can upload? I am trying to upload and it says the file size is too big. 13mb.

Wow, I was wondering where the sudden flurry had come from!

If you have some short stuff or text I'd suggest putting it on the wiki (or just mail it to me and I'll do it) rather than uploading it.

Frankly I'll wiki everything sent over time anyway if I get the time, remember, etc - I did a mass of stuff when we were testing it prior to release and text is very easy to upload once you get into the swing of it - Albiele is already up btw, do you know if it is the same as your PS?

I am not sure if they are the same or not. I check at least 1 Albiele file and it only had a map. Maybe there is one with the same document, I dunno.

I'll put checking it on my 'to do' list along with 'uploading the rest' and 'finishing PS Dhoesone'...

btw, the 'Southern coast' file was corrupt according to my downloader - is it ok on yours?

I just checked it and deleted mine. Looks like they were the same. I got mixed up with all the requests, sorting my files, and continuing my CD backup transfer with the uploads.

I wasn't sure where to put the Imp City, Southern Coast and the old Anuire stuff so I put them in the supplements. I know they could fit in domains but I didn't know how you guys would prefer them. I can edit them myself just let me know what you think.

I downloaded it and it opened up for me. If you can't get it to work we can to a file xfer if you want.

Also I am still having trouble uploading the old Mailing List Archive.

Is it ok if we upload the works of others? Morg and Ian have been gone for a long time (again) but they can always come back and not like the fact that we shared their work without permission. Just asking. I'm all for sharing but I don't want to offend anyone.

I was kind of wary about this myself, but I came to the conclusion that this stuff was publicly available by them to share, and I am simply taking the role of reviving that sentiment. If an author does want me to take it down I will. I have a document that I've withheld from this community cause it was submitted to me in private years ago and have contacted the author asking permission to release it. Still waiting for a reply.

I think some of this stuff was even linked from the old BR.net links page. So, I think it was implied that this material was for the community. Perhaps some of it wasn't and I can take them down if there is a problem. Just let me know and I'll comply.

When I went through to create the opening wiki pages I took the view that anything posted on br.net or another public forum was ok unless the other site was clearly active, or the document said it should not be produced (only a timoshev write-up had the latter). Quite a few pieces were clear that they could be reproduced as long as long as no profit motive was involved.

I've asked a few of the authors as I've come across them over the years and all have been happy to have stuff put up. If some one complained it could be taken down easily enough.

Would the .rtf documents of the core rules be OK to submit for downloads?

Would the .rtf documents of the core rules be OK to submit for downloads?

RTFs of the original books published by TSR? That would be copyright infringement, hosting those could cause problems for birthright.net, because it's illegal.

Still going through my files I found some cool maps. One map I found was a scan of Anuire from the Iron Throne that I made way back. Thought I lost it. Would that be a copyright infringement to submit to the downloads?

Anyone interested in blank maps of cerilia? I have maps like the one you find in birmail. One is blank, another with source holding color scheme, another with populaiton color scheme, political boundaries, and roads that I found from a few sources.

I have some old versions of Aduria maps as well.

I found some images of the websites files that I submitted earlier. Let me know if there is any interest in them.

I have some cool screen shot pics of the Gorgon's Alliance characters and intro and win screen.

That's what I can recall from the top of my head. Its all on my laptop.

I am so happy I found my tile for my old website for the cities of the sun campaign. Still can't find my website files though.

You are welcome to use any of my work. My original version of my Adurian expansion is still available online at http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Labyrinth/8099/
(Note: This was never completed, but has info on northern aduria).

If you want any further information I should be able to give you some idea, mail me at hoss@chariot.net.au

I found this as I was going through manually saving some of the forum threads. I guess I was right.

I am still going through the old threads and I found a request for the Blank maps so I uploaded them. Its a large file with a lot of maps. Its pretty much a complete collection.

Also I added the Ocean areas map to supplement the sea zones. There hasn't been any negative feedback so I figured it would be OK.

I still can't upload the Old Birthright Archive. Says its too big. I've gotten it down to 11.6 MB in size.

You could always upload the archive in two distinct archives and see if that works.

Happy B-day Magian!

I recently spotted this thread...not quite necromancy bringing it back?

I'm looking for some maps of Diemed. I found some references here that Cmalik had drawn some maps etc. citing that when downloading one must be sure to also grab 'players screen parts 1 and 2'.

For the life of me I cannot find them. Not in the downloads section, not in my old archives, nowhere on the net.

Do you or anyone else have them?

I'm trying to do a semi-detailed map for Anuire and would like to base it upon existing material if possible.

I have also been collecting some BR stuff from other sources. Some of them were just saved html pages which now don't work because some of those sites are down. I haven't been wise enough to c/p it in some document and store it locally. But all in all, I've collected at some point over a 200 MB of various material.

Unfortunately, no Diemed map...

Great stuff, Arjan. Never seen those pages before. Cear Deretha is especially pleasing. It's extremely refreshing to see a Birthright map you've never seen before once in a while.

If you want to use a machine translator for French, I recommend using Systran's one - http://www.systransoft.com . They have been at it for much longer than Google and are generally regarded as the world leader in MT technology for many European languages.

Thanks! Google translate is not that bad, although sometimes I need to think of the right order of the translated sentence to make sense. All in all, I hope there won't be insufficient proof readers. ;)
