Does anybody have a copy of this module?
If so, could you give us a brief synopsis of the adventure. It seems ultra rare and very difficult to find anywhere. My chances of every owning a copy are remote. There is a used copy on Noble Knight games, but they are asking $175 for it!!!
Thanks in advance,
James

I have seen also the module in NKG, and I would love to add it to my BR collection, but 175$ is too much :p

I thought that it was a promotional comic not a module...
But those prices sound crazy! Darned collectors getting in the way of players/readers!

From what I could gather, it was an official TSR release for RPGA adventures with express instructions that it was never to be sold in stores. However, it was expected to be played inside the stores.

I believe the comic was "The Serpant's Eye". The wiki has a pretty complete list of everything officially released relating to Birthright.

One question: Was this adventure written by SKR in any polyhedron magazine too? Is it the same? Which was the #issue?
Thank you in advance.

You have several already! :p
No clue abut the SKR thing, I doubt it as if that was the case it wouldn't be so expensive, but who knows.

I would like to have a full BR collection :) I'm missing some minor things like that, or the Naval Rules (but I have the Cities of the Sun expansion). I haven't found anyone that ships the Naval Rules to Spain, amazon copies are USA only :'(

There was a comic (just one issue). I snagged a copy recently. It's called "The Eye of the Serpent" and is a pretty cheesy story about Marlae Roesone helping the Emir of Khourone to attempt to retreive a magical item from the Isle of the Serpent.

Thanks for the description but I would like to be pedantic and point out that the title of the comic is "The Serpent's Eye" (no code, http://www.comicvine.com/birthright-the-serpents-eye-/37-145267/birthright1/105-637114/). "Eye of the Serpent" is a non-Birthright AD&D adventure module (coded UK5 #9125, http://rpgmarketplace.com/UK5--Eye-of-the-Serpent-9125-TSR-1984-VF,name,107809,auction_id,auction_details ). If anyone tries to find it, make sure you are looking for the right one.

Yes sir! Can I write it on file.doc for the BR.net/wiki's sake? I would share it with everyone of you. They are only 16 pages.
Ciao,
Andrea
Andrea, you lucky ...
Give us all the juicy details. Actually, I was looking for a much more than that, since I'm trying to write some sort of expansion to Tribes of the Heartless Wastes. :)

any news, Andrea?! :-)
Andrea left us hanging in mid air, waiting to exhale. If he doesn't show up soon, we might explode. It would be a terrible waste to lose so much Blood. :D
I just hope he's OK.

Dashing through the slain, on a one Vos-harnessed Varsk,
Over corpses we go, Laughing at the task.
Heads on lances sing,
Making spirits fright
What fun it is to laugh and sing
A slaying song tonight.
I've been absent from this site for about 5 months due to work, but it looks like Andrea is even more absent. Now, I will never know what happened in Velenoye and my new Vosgaard campaign expansion will be flawed. :(

Welcome back. Who knows, at some point Andrea may come back, if he survived the winter witches...

I contacted Sean Reynolds about it, to see if he can do something to us.
He cannot send us anything, legal rights and loss due a comp crash
part of his reply was:
This adventure wasn't a big deal—it basically was a black & white adventure on photocopier-quality paper, it didn't have any art (not even cover art), and was only about 10 pages long plus six pages of pregenerated PCs. I understand that people are curious about it or want to complete their collections, but definitely do not pay $175 for it in an auction!
ill try to poke rich baker and see if he can do something
Thanks. I was wondering if it had any useful data besides some pregenerated PCs. Like a history event, or notable person, realm info. I doubt that ten pages didn't contain anything of interest.
Maybe to contact the author: Sean K. Reynolds, it mentions his e-mail at the end of the article (http://www.seankreynolds.com/misc/seanfaq.html).

Still no word from Andrea. But seems that I've been missing quite a lot, too.
Anyhow, should've bought it when I had a chance. :D

Wow. I never thought I'd see that adventure. Just before the Silver Anniversary too. Even after I managed to track down copies of the three even-lesser known RPGA Network adventures, I just could not locate a copy of Varsks - I had almost given up hope that it still even existed. What a gift to the community. Thanks for whatever effort it took to finally track it down.

Over the years i looked for it thinking it will surface some day.
Then i found one day a website listing all the RPGA modules, and there was a little thank you note pointing to andrew newman.
found his email on his website and just wrote him to ask whether he got it.
and to my surprise he did and he made the scan for us :)
Even sean Reynolds had been looking for a copy for years, so i send him the pdf as well!
nothing stays hidden forever ;)

Thanks Einstein. Thanks also for pointing out that it is nearly the silver anniversary of BR. Wikipedia has it invented in 1994 and published in 1995, what date are you using?

I'd learn towards the publishing date personally. All I know is 1995, haven't delved into an exact month. It won the '95 Origins award for best supplement for example (at Origins in July of '96).

My boxed set says 1995, as does wikipedia, but I couldn't see a month or exact date. I was wondering if you had come across it. Anyone else know?
