Does anyone play omincrew.com or realthugz.com? This is a turn-based system
based around a gangster theme. You as a mob family leader decide how many
turns you use per action which increases your chances at success, but also
shortens list of how many times you can perform these actions.
You can recruit Enforcers/Thugs (soldiers), Pharmacists/Dealers (handling
drugs), Extortionists and Prostitutes. Each unit type rely on resources you
provide them in order for them to perform at capacity (bring in money and
increase your net income).

The reason I bring this up is an idea I had for BR. Each Action can have so
many turns spent on performing it. The greater the number the better the
outcome but also giving less options. It may be too late to consider this
type of variant to the rules but...

In my campaign, you can do only one personal action -i.e. one for which you
have to be physically present, in person- per turn, but you can do a
practically unlimited number of action per turn which do not require your
personal attention. Each impersonal action, though, poses a cumulative
penalty on *all* impersonal actions. So the more you try to have your realm
do at a time, the less likely any of it will succeed. However, as long as
you`re willing to keep spending resources to an action, you can continue to
check for success each week, and each week that you`ve already spent on the
action gives you a bonus to your check.

How`s that?
