Hey everyone! I'm trying to find some nice hi res Birthright art, like that which is on the DM's screen, to use as wallpaper on my PS3. Does anyone know the name of the artist or can provide links to any pictures?
Thanks folks!

We used to have plenty on the wiki and some in the downloads, but methinks you'll need to wait some time for all that to return :(

The main artist is Tony Szczudlo or something like that. See also http://www.birthright.net/forums/showthread.php?t=3548&highlight=artwork

Thank you Thelandrin, I didn't know there is a Birthright Wiki - I'll have to check that out! Why do you suspect that it'll be a while before those downloads you mentioned return?

The wiki is normally hosted here at birthright.net. Unfortunately the system crashed and lots was corrupted, especially the wiki. Until we recover from backups, we will not have a wiki.

Ok, thanks for clarifying. I wondered what that message was about on the home page, I've never been here before, see. By the way, how come you can see my posts but I can't?
Edit: Oh now I can. Sorry about the double post. Thanks for all your help fellas :)

As you are a newbie, your posts are moderated. As a moderator I can see them, but forgot to approve them. Hopefully it is all approved now.

Heh. When you've been a moderator long enough, you don't even think to notice whether someone's posts are unmoderated or not! I'll delete that double post of yours.

Thank you Thelandrin. What an embarrassing start to a new forum :o
By the way, what does your signature mean?

You're the first person to ask that, so you're now officially my favourite newbie :D
I am going to apologise in advance for this, but the Latin in my signature is: Irish stew, in the name of the law. :p

Seriously? Your siggy means that? Lol :D
Where/how/why on earth did you come up with that? What was your muse? Do tell the story...

Well, it's more like: "Thick broth from Ireland, in the name of the legal system", but it's close enough :P
I have a passion for bad puns, I have a Latin dictionary (next to my copies of The Illiad and The Odyssey) and I had too much time on my hands. I also wanted to appear erudite and learned by having Latin in my signature :D (My father is a classicist, so he was able to correct my grammar and then tell me that I'm an idiot!)

I tried translating Arjan's Latin sig once, but I don't think I got it entirely. Care to share, Arjan? :)

Google is my friend when I want to peel away the meaning behind Latin sayings. I wouldn't want to slip up on translating it.

The best one yet - Quidquid latine dictum sit, altum sonatur. - "Whatever is said in Latin sounds profound." :)
