In the case of nearly every PS, I`ve chosen to ignore their alterations from
the realm discription books. In nearly all cases, the new regent story was
artificial and goofy compared to what had been presented earlier.

I love this kind of reinterpretation. We should see more of it. Groups
will interpret their histories differently from one another. A standard
interpretation is hard to justify, unless it is intended to be some kind of
DM-objective point of view.
