Between Dantier Isle and the Baerghos Isles, and to the west of them [on the Aebrynis map] are a chain of islands, that could be worth about 30-40 provinces. Has anyone done a proper map of these, and done background work on the islands?

Sorry, but those Islands were made by yours truly...they are not canon (though they could be said to appear off-map, and thus be easily integrated into any campaign).

But yes, there is a provincial map of the area, province/holding levels, and some background notes.

Can you post a copy of that map, province levels and background notes?

Here is where you can find the province map w/names and terrain.

Province levels are found in the Provinces & Holdings spreadsheet (but you might as well assign you own levels - since this is virgin territory so to speak):

Background notes? I'll have to dig around and see what I have in digital format.

In the meantime - here is some intro text:

“The Western Isles is a large group of islands a few days sailing due west from Boeruine’s capital of Seaharrow. The two major islands are named West and East Island (that have other, local names as well).

East Island is firmly in the hands of House Boer, and is currently ruled by Aeric’s younger brother Brandon from his Caer in Duke’s Haven. Most of the island is populated by Boeruine immigrants who came here during the 6th century HC. West Island is nominally under the control of House Boer, but the islands native inhabitants actually control most of the island. In addition there are various smaller islands, grouped into the Inner and Outer Isles.

Some claim that elves actually inhabited the islands at the time of the Flight from Shadow, These elves are supposed to have interbred extensively with early Andu settlers. The elves were eventually wiped out by Boru warlords, but their legacy lingered on in the form of the many elfbloods that still live on the islands.

Whatever the truth of this, the fact remain that there are a number of people who can be called natives and who are distinct from later mainland arrivals. The mainlanders find these natives fey and unpredictable, with many weird customs and beliefs.

The Lostern and Tontier Islands are unconnected to the main bulk of the Western Isles, lying between them and the mainland. Both are ruled by the direct descendants of early Andu settlers.”
