View Full Version : font?
HI all-
I am in the process of setting up my new computer and OS, and that means i need to have a Birthright font. Heh.
On my old system, the font i had was "bebris". However, i see no mention of that name on the web. I found a reference to a really old thread that mentioned the font name is "democratica", which i can find online.
But, i want to be sure i'm getting the genuine font. So what is corrent one to get now? Thanks!

The one I used in the Hi Res map was Minister Std
Don't think its the official font used on the map, but was the closest I could find for free

I believe the original Bebris font is copyrighted (probably to Carrie A. Bebris) so Democratica is probably the closest we could find to it that isn't copyrighted. Arjan had the Bebris font at some stage but might not have used it.

Back in the days i traced the letters and used coreldraw to make the font and called it bebris.
then much later i added the missing letters from the democratica font into the bebris font.
the owner of democratica later asked me "kindly" to remove the font due to copyright
which i did.
so thats why your dont find bebris.ttf anymore. you indeed need to look for democratca Bold

It is a neat story!
Just FYI, all of the above discussed .ttf files are freely available online.

As noted above, 'Democratica' for headers and cover text, 'Minister Book' for body text.
