Late this summer I gave away NPC's from our living campaing to various people online, those people came back with results to me, some sort of domain actions that we could assume in a typical domain orientated campaign. Those results were excellent. Imagine having 5 parties run at a living world with different GM and drive different stories and there you go out of the blue and bang, you throw in without notice people who have never played before Birthright have no idea about the setting, and give them key NPC's while you do a hecuva of a work in order to make them understand how the setting works and how they can come back with results. It was marvelous at least, enjoy some of the results.

You did tell them that Mieres is a lot smaller than Anuire, right? ;)

Yes, yes, they did got the idea that Mieres is nothing else but a simple duchy amongst the court of nobles in Anuire

Keep in mind here that Anuire during our campaign is torn amongst three major factions, the Empire, the Archduchy of Boeruine and the Sovereignty of Ghoere) Mieres is nothing else than a trade partner of the so called Emperor whose dealing those came in direct conflict with the dealing of the Emperor himself who denounced them and declared the embargo, the story and the ones to follow are results of brainstorming and enormous hours of roleplaying, not domain action playing.!!! The player of Mieres is confident enough that with the right allies, he can take what he wants the most.
