I hope the reason that the game is being delayed again to fix up a few
problems with the game.
It seems remarkably easy to take control of kingdoms like Avanil and
Boeruine in the demo.
I finally got around to downloading it yesterday and choose Brosengae as
my domain and as my 1st!! action made Avanil my vassel. Then all I had
to do was do diplomacy every action and demand my vassel to hand over
holdings and provinces to my control. After 4 turns in the game I was in
control of half of Avanil.
By the end of the 10th turn I was in control of all but 1 of Avanil
provinces, and had Taeghas, Endier, and Tournen also as my vassels.
Another thing. When I demanded that Avanil hand over one of its
province's it also handed over control of all the armies currently in
that province. This gave me a large army without even having to spend
money on them, accept for the maintenance.
Of course what I was doing was taking advantage of what I see as a small
problem in the game. Because when I began I was a vassel of Avanil the
game gives me a 150% chance when conducting diplomacy with Avanil,
instead of the normal 50% for a non-vassel. So it is very easy to turn
that around and make Avanil your vassel. If I had continued as I was, I
would soon have had control of much of south-western Anuire and more
than a match for the Gorgon or anyone else who came along.
It looks like a nice enough game, but doesn't look like much of a
challenge if it is going to be that easy to play...
