So, does her wisdom drain ability works on women ?

( But it is not a blood power, and I wonder how she got that ability, look

like a Lamia doesn`t mean you are a real one ...strange ) >>

I presume the male-only part of her powers are a result of the Bloodform

changing her into something resembling a "real" lamia. AFAIK, there are no

"real" lamiae in Cerilia, so she is the only one.

Hello,
Lamia wasn't a centaur but a dancer/rogue human before her change into The thing she is now, but I guess every body knows it :) .
I wondered myself if there was other Lamia, because in her story she said : "the name of the country soon changed to my newly received alias 'The Lamia'"...
I wonder how people (or herself) found that name of Lamia if none existed before her (or at least some myth) , why not the Lioness, the wemic or the sphinx, as she has lion's body :)
I doubt she is the only one lamia in cerilia, but she is surely the more powerful, without any clue of existence of other ones, in my stories I started she was the first and only one.
(her stats are the same than a 2° edition add lamia, safe blood powers, in bigger version)

I guess her powers on men were amplified with the blood of azrai in her vein, she was a seducer, she became a monster with control on men with azrai blood form, she had no chance, become a succubus would be better :P

A name can mean anything in a different language - mayhap "Lamia" IS the

khir-aften-el-Arrasi translation of "woman with lion body". ;-) There is

no need for other Lamias to exist before her, only to explain how she

got her name in this way.

Perhaps awnsheglien are generally able to produce off-spring like

themselves. In one of the novels the Gorgon lured Michael Roele to his

death by secretly destroying his wife with a potion that transformed her

unborne child into a Gorgon like himself - so at least he knows how to

do it even when he generally avoids to create own offspring after he

realized that he is nearly immortal.. The Hydra is mentioned to have

produced a multitude of spawns so that noone can be sure if he met the

real Hydra.

So for each DM and player who do not want to concentrate on a world with

few monsters and mainly politics, intrigue and inter-realm-warfare, you

could easily rule that every major awnsheglien has this ability so that

you could play in a monster-infested Birthright with a race of dark

elves under Rhuobhe, and small Hydras infesting the realms surrounding

the Harrowmarsh etc...

bye

Michael
