I have been reading the sourcebook on Tuarhievel and I find the idea of
the human on the Thorn Throne a little weird. Taking a human consort is
one thing, and allowing her to give birth to the royal heir is another,
but giving the woman regency over the domain while the current Prince
kills himself seems a bit odd. I undrestand the threat of the Gorgon is
rather eminant when he is your neighbor but can you see the leader of
one of the few Elven realms on Cerilia just giving himself over to the
Gorgon? I can't. The Gorgon tried to invade 200 years ago and lost,
admitadly at great cost, but he still lost. The Elven people also
maintained their purity. It says right in the back as one of the hints
not to become involved in the affairs of humans yet if you leave a human
on the throne of Tuarhievel will that not eventually lead to a human
ruling over Elves by right and change it from an Elven kingdom to a
human one. I don't think this should be the way the one easily playable
Elven kingdom should have been handled. My question I guess is did
anyone else deal with this problem? Are there any Elven regents out
there? What do you all think? Also kind of on the same subject, does
Braedonnal Tuare from Tuornen have any relationship to any of the royal
lines in Tuarhievel does anyone remember? Was it stated anywhere?

Thanks,

MJC

Just the thought of a human on the Thorn Throne(?) is ridiculous.
Fhielereine is a relative of Roubhe the MANSLAYER. Fhielereine also is
rumoured to be involved in the continuation of the galic sidhe(humman
hunt.) No way that would ever happen. Even a human consort is
proposterous. Elves don't like humans and vice versa.

I think the idea of a human on the thorn throne is ridiculous, but as I
remember it, the prince of Tuarhievel is not that hostile to humans
himselves, he just has to contend with a lot of powerful nobles who hate
humans.

While the idea seems incredibly bizarre, and I have not yet decided if I
will include this in my own fledgeling campaign there are a couple of
things to remember. Fhielereine HAS already given some control of the law
in Tuarheivel to his half sister, Fhiele Dhoesone, prior to his move. Love
is a fleeting thing, and this is a great roleplaying opportunity.
