Dragon Magazine published an article a long time ago (which I have
here) called A Plethora Of Paladins. It detailed different Paladin
Classes for every alignment. Probably my favorite Dragon article ever.=20
Mind you, this is before the 2nd Edition, so these aren't wimpy Paladin
'Kits,' these are actual Paladin classes with their own special
abilities, restrictions, and alignments. They fit quite well into
Birthright, I might add.

I fully agree with you Robin. Even more. Think about paladin.
In my campaigns at least a paladin MUST be lawful good. But lawful good
is NOT going to wide his territories and other holdings for profit.
Lawful good directs all the power for his people and to keep all bad
guys under his thumb. Being watchdog of society like paladin is to be
just takes more RP I think and thus for paladin gaining more RPs
is very OK for me.

Sincerely yours

Gosh, the way the answers come back, this is almost like IRC...

(I won't re-post my own explanation here, you all have it already, right?).

Ah, good point about the nature of paladins in Birthright. BTW, I'm not
aware of any paladin regent in published Birthright products. Know of any?

About the alignment of paladins, I'm a little sceptical here. Lawful good?
The rules state that a paladin can be of different religions: Haelyn,
Cuira=E9cen, Nesirie, Avani. Haelyn,s in the LG line all right, but Cuira=E9=
cen
tends toward CG, Nesirie NG and Avani LN. How do you resolve this apparent
contradiction? Don't you feel paladins must be =ABin tune=BB with their diet=
y
and cult?

BTW, I notice your Email address is jaanusl@postimees.ee; for the sake of
curiosity, where are you writing from?

Check out the info in Cities of the Sun. There is a realm there that=20
must be ruled by Paladins.

I feel that the LG thing is imperitave. The paladin must be L when it=20
comes to his diety. Now if that diety goes around bending the rules,=20
that doesn't grant the paladin the right to do the same when it comes to=20
his religious duties, IMHO.

In fact under each diety that allows Paladins they have already set the
rules for their alignments, and ablities, in order to make them match their
gods.

Could you tell us which Dragon it's in?
