I would think each has different blood abilities, that is how I would deal
with the situation. Unless they were twins, then I might give them the same
abilities. Otherwise they were born in different year, different phase of the
moon or whatever so there abilities are completly different from each other.

Well, contrary to the popular opinion voiced so far; I feel that if two
people
come from the same family and bloodline, there are some good odds that
they will share a few traits that are common to the line. I am not saying
that they will have identical traits to each other. Just that they will
likely
have one or two that are shared.

This is hinted at in the products I have bought. Blood History, for instance,
would be of much lower power if it's not shared through the line. To go back
more than one generation, your father (mother) has to have it, and then the
grandparent has to have it to go back two generations. Prince Avan's blood-
mark was written as a mark that is common to most regents of his line. It's
a common manifestation to the entire family.

I work this by figureing out a few traits that are common to the family, and
then
making space for "family trait" on the blood abilities table (which I have
reworked anyway); and when that one is rolled; I have the PC reroll on a
table
comprised of only the traits that the family share.

In the same line of thought, how does everyone handle the gems that increase
bloodlines?? A problem with them is that you can gain abilities with the
stone,
and then loose them with the stone. If you regain the stone (or just increase
your bloodline via bloodtheft), do you regain the same powers or new ones??

I opted for keeping track and giving back the same powers; as if they are
preordained
by the gods, and the gemstones just gave a glimpse of the future. The Crown
of the
Empire (when it was intact) is a good example of why I did this. There were
two
crowns, each of differing strength (as far as the bloodline boost); I would
figure that
each time one of the old emperors put the crown on; he got the same group of
powers
back; this makes it much more reliable than if they changed every time....

opinions...?

Well.. it looks reasonable when family shares MOST of the abilities
but some may remain different. For instance it is known thet this
family of scions have all enhanced sense or perhaps bloodmark or
battlewise. But there should also be something that makes persons
more interesting outstanding and individual.

Thats actually on what I came too last night.. I wondered that craig says
almost the same here. Thanks anyway.

So the brothers I was asking about both got enhanced sense.
And the other ability was (They were both Reynir minor (25))
varying.

I think, that you are absolutely right. Whe na person gains the strength
no matter in WHICH WAY he rolls only once fo the new ability..
And now whether he loses or gains strength by any way the ability
will come into existence or lay still until the strength is once
boosted again..

Thats what I think , and how I rule it.
