As of by today 19th of July 1999 at 05:13 GMT the website

www.birthright.net went online.

So our waiting is finally over... we now have a central website
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Background storyfor new readers:
For about 2-3 months ago there was another "what can we do to bring back
birthright" thread at this mailing list and someone thought a central
webpage for all matters concerning birthright would be nice. We discovered
that birthright.net was vacant and by collecting 70 USD which was needed
for the registration someone volounteered to try to start the work. Jason
said he could deal with collecting the money and so he did. Myself offered
space on a server to host the webpage, and as such also started working on
the technical bit. Now finally after 1 server meltdown, 2 lines
downperiods, 4 annoying DNS servers and over 15 mails to InterNIC the
website is finally up and running.....

Just a quick message, and, while I know I don't actually to say thanks very
much from all of the BR fans to all those who were instrumental in getting
the actual site up and running. Thanks Sindre, Adam, Jason, those who
volunteered the funds (sorry, I don't know the names) and all the others I
forgot.

Hopefully someone at TSR/WoTC has noticed.

Simon

Greetings!

I have to say, the website sounds great (in theory). It will be interesting
to see what
becomes of it, though. I'd just like to volunteer to help out if it's
needed.

I have noticed that in recent days (ie: since WOTC updated their
webpage) the link to the Online City has also been updated, which is a
good thing. A link from the Online City to the new Birthright page would
be a good idea, although it would also be good to have a link directly
from TSR
