BoP is the much more useful campaign work IMNSHO :)

I really like LotHK, but thought that I got more use, due to hooks and plot
ideas from my own little devious mind, out of the Book of Priestcraft. I
really liked the artifact introduction and the detailed lives and histories
of the various gods.

Damn tough choice man, are you sure you have to choose?
If you are campagn building and have priest characters to develope get the
BoP. If you need eleven good stories to run Legends of the Hero-Kings is the
way to go (all of these need work to fit a domain).

I think that about sums it up. Your choice (if you really have to make one)
depends on your campaign. In general, I might push for LotHK over BoP if only
because it is a more broadly written work. You can use it for a party of
characters, rather than just to flesh out the abilities and details of a single
class. The BoP, however, has some really good info in it, so if you can swing
both then do.

I in general prefer sourcebooks like the BoP to adventures. The
adventures you can use once, and maybe pull some background out of them.
The sourcebook can provide all kinds of good background info for my
campaign. The BoP and BoM are particularly good in this regard, I feel. I
especially like the bit in the BoP about the holy relics of Cerilia, and the
history they give in describing them. Stuff about the Lost, the fall of
Irbouda, Sefra, and Medeci, and info about the 12 clans of the Andu, it's
good stuff.
