Here is my reply:
not a bad idea. i would allow it, with some detailed work. i have
been thinking of allowing something like that, so it works for me.

I find the idea very interesting, but the concept of a mage who's
profession essentially revolves around draining permanent and powerful
magic items of their powers is sort of scary to me, I would think the
power itself would resist. Maybe a 9th level geomancer only spell....
