Greetings friends,
I want to start off by saying "HOOOOOOH YEAH!!!!" and "Thanks!" to all =
of you who have responded positively to my initial post/aglamation of =
ideas. I think this burst of enthuasism is fantastically wonderful and =
beyond my expectations. I promise to stay involved as much as any =
working stiff can :)
Now then, a few ideas:
1. Keep the informaiton flowing on the list. Update your web page? Make =
a new page? Develop a story arc, NPC, or anything else relevant to the =
setting??? PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, OH PLEASE!! Let us know about it. =
Keep the subject constant. If we all have "Revival" in our subject line, =
we can allow those who don't wish to know to delete on sight; and the =
rest of us can zoom in on it.
2. Thanks to everyone who has ponied up to either doing some work, =
taking on work, or clarifing the work they have already done. It's not =
easy to do this kind of stuff when you are not getting paid. I know that =
to the fullest. Keep the spirit up and keep the work a going. The hard =
part is staying motivated so I'll be the cheerleader and do anything I =
can to keep everybody excited.=20
3. Those of us not hosting a website or anything like that would be very =
kind to send our stuff into those that do. Sometimes this is hard as our =
players read the list/webpages as well; but even posting something =
after the fact is great, and it gives you the chance to modify it for =
the actions of the players both before and after.=20
4. This also means, we should look into some common formats for =
submission. Those of you putting up these pages should put a page on =
your site telling us what kinda formats you like, if you don't have one =
already. I have the Core Rules CD-ROM and am thinking of making some =
maps with higher focus on the areas I am using in my game. If anyone can =
accept the format used in the program, let me know. I'll send you a copy =
of whatever I do and everybody can have access to it. ;)
On another angle:
GEN CON!!!! Ok, my preregistration booklet came in today. Good news: =
Birthright is represented under the games being played! Bad News: There =
are only three games I could find and they are not put on by TSR. Some =
wonderful person is hosting them. I'll send you what the book says if =
you email me and ask nicely. :) We should fill his game up and have a =
ball if we can.
I still want a head count! If you are going to Gen Con please drop me a =
line and tell me. I'll keep a nice roster of addresses and then when the =
time grows near we can try to get together. It can be a nice and campy =
way to meet and exchange ideas in real life. Afterward we can lay seige =
to the TSR booth. :)
On other related items: For those of you who are thinking of posting a =
synopsis or detail of the goings ons of your campaigns, DO IT MAN! I =
want to know, I want to see it, I want to be inspired by it! Any =
information on active games is cool. Heck, even if I don't like what you =
are doing, I can still learn from it and use what I learn to better my =
game (and boy does it need bettering ;). Do not ever not post something =
that is on topic. We can delete what we don't like. As long as you are =
courteous, there should be no problems. And don't hold back because you =
are shy. That's crap. Nobody is watching you type and laughing ;)
Ok, nuff for now on this. I have more to say about something else so =
it's time for the next letter! :)
