On Thursday, January 14, 1999, Terence Burnard =
posted a set of experience points for domain actions. I offer 100 xp =
for any domain action, and no more. I see no problem with low level =
characters getting a substantial boost from domain actions, but 10,000 =
xp for negotiating vassalage is grossly excessive. I don't want to see =
anyone go from 4th to 5th level because of negotions. If 100 xp (or =
some such amount) is not enough, give them the appopriot non-weapon =
proficency (diplomacy in this case) or another level in it.
Advancing in level should be about adventuring and facing danger (even =
if its overcome by negotiations). Getting more hp's and a better THAC0 =
is not the appropriot responce to domain actions.
I am currently working on my much expanded list of non-weapon =
proficencies. At last count I had 169 (mostly taken from existing AD&D =
sources). I have plans to add many more which focus on the minutia of =
realm administration.
