A time back there was some discussion about wether it was possible to create
a bloodline in some person who wasn't blooded. Some people were dead against
it others thought it mihght be possible but would require quite some regency.
I thought about it and came up with this spell. Now a lot of things about
this spell are optional and should be decided by the DM if he decides to
allow it in his campaign.
Spell: Light the Spark
Level Priest??/Wizard?? or RealmSpell (DM's Choice)
if Priest
Sphere All but only castable by the 8 main faiths (not Eloele/Laerme or
Cuiraecen)
if Wizard
enchantment/charm
Range touch
Components V,S,M
Duration Instantaneous
Casting Time 1 Turn
Area of Effect Creature Touched
Saving Throw Negated
This spell is used on those rare moments that someone has done such great
deeds that a powerful regent is willing to grant him a bloodline.
The Regent who is the sponsor must expend a certain number of regency points
to make the spell work (My idea is around 25/50). The subject must make a
saving throw versus spells to see if the spell is succesful, this roll can
be modified by expending extra regency. (To bad that after doing all those
great deeds his Saving Throw is now so good that the spell has little chance
of success otherwise).
The subject's bloodline will be of the same derivation as that of the sponsor.
(If cast by a Priest he should be of the correct faith i.e. Haelyn doesn't
create Basela derivations) His Bloodstrength will be 0 or 1. His
Bloodclassification will be either the same of the sponsor or, for those who
think actions can have some effect on this, the classification will be
minor/major (depending on his history).
Material components my idea here was to use either an knight/prince or
emperor (DM's choice) sielshegh of the correct derivation which functions as
the tranefer vessel for the blood and which is destroyed in the process.
This leaves out Masela however so you might want to think of some other item
of comparable value.
OK, comments anybody, remember much of the spell must be determined by the
DM if he approves it at all.
