My friend got an idea and wondered if it's true. Is the Shadow World
part of Raven Loft?

Where does this "BOOK?" state that the shadow world is the demi-plane of
shadows? This seems impossible to me, as the demiplane is a convergence of
the positive and negative planes, whilst the shadow world is suposedly from
what I have read a parrallel alternate prime world that used to be the home
world of Cerilia's halfling population. These 2 concepts seem to me to be a
fair distance apart !

Sweet water and light laughter until next.

I know it seems impossible. however, I BELIEVE (and would humbly admit myself
wrong if I am shown to be so) that in the module "Sword of Roele" it had a
mention of the Shadow World being the demiplane of shadow near the end of the
adventure when the party had to cross through a windy chasm and fight these
killer moths. I don't have the module on me right now, but I believe it was
in there. If not, I may have read it in Greatheart. Whether or not this is
the case, I usually play the Shadow World as a mirror world of Cerilia.
Except that it was more of a faerire/magic land before the cold-rider got
there.

Don't have the adventure, and my copy of Greatheart is a good 60 miles
away, but I don't remember that tidbit being in Greatheart (it has been a
while, though, since I read that).
Wherever it turns out this was written, I believe this would fall into
the infamous crack errors (as in, the author was on crack at the time
- -) ), right up there with the drow (I don't recall where he was) and the
psionicists in Blood Enemies. It comes of having out-of-house writers try
to work in our beloved BR, and I fully intend to ignore these strange
mishaps of editing.

It wasn't in Greatheart, that I can tell you. I go along with the idea
that the Shadow World couldn't be the Demi-plane of Shadows for the sole fact
that the Halflings came from there and lived happily until the Cold Rider
showed up (which *may* have been when ole evil A got defeated). I can't
discount the Sword of Roele because I'm a player and we haven't gone through
that adventure, but I can discount Greatheart. There wasn't much detail about
the Shadow World, but there definitely weren't any giant killer moths there.

Take care all,
Kirby

I got the sword of Roele (got about everything but the Vos if I can find
the stuff in this mess anyhow I remember something about comparing the shadow
world and the demiplane of shadow but I thought it said it wasn't let check

Okay got it I assumed you meant the Chamber of shadows room read through
it and it DID say the passage (there a magic portal that leads to anouther
room) was through the demi plane of shadow but it DID NOT make any connection
between the Shadow World and demi plane of shadow compare the differences
(ever heard of Halflings in the demi plane of shadow) the Shadow world full of
undead and halflings the demi plane of shadow well shadows plus if it was the
shadow world the guards probably whould of been undead instead of 2 shadow
elementals.

OK PEOPLE! We've established my mistake TEN times now! We've all agreed that
they are two different concepts. This ought to be the last of the responses
to my comment.
