Orbs of Smoke.

Each orb is about two inches in diameter. You throw it down and it
creates a ball of smoke thick enough to obscure one human body for 2d4
rounds. Spells that affect or create breezes can disappate the smoke in
1d3 rounds. Orbs are found either singly or a pouch containing four.
An alchemist can make one of these in about four hours.

How about that for a low powered magical item?

I like it. : ) Good to see a useful, low-powered magical item for a
change. I get tired of reading about +5 swords and rods that heal
everything and everyone. Thanks for this. I am going to use it in my
campaign. One of the best I have seen for a long time!
