As Dragons pre-date the gods and bloodlines, they probably have their
own bloodpower quivalent, rather than having to 'gain' it from these
johnny-come-lately little mortals and monsters. They may not be subject
to bloodtheft, either, or the referee could come up with any number of
interesting side-effects of stealing a Dragon's blood (become a
Draconian?)

There were dragons at the Battle of Mount Deismaar, so a dragon could obviously
be blooded (like they're not powerful enough already, shudder). However, with
regards their own "blood" that predates Deismaar, how about having it connected
to the land's magic (mebhaighl).

Also, that brings up something else - mebhaighl was around before Deismaar
wasn't it (or was it a result of the some of the divine essence being absorbed
into the land)?

Dragon.

Actually, it has been mentioned that the explosion at Mount Deismaar did
not pass bloodlines onto dragons, for whatever reason. If it hasn't been
mentioned, it was meant to.

However, because of their highly magical nature (and, perhaps, their own
tie to the land), dragons can apparently rule at least source holdings (or
that's the theory) and cast realm magic. Check out HAVENS for a reported
incident (though it could all be a fraud ...)

Mebhaighl was around before Mount Deismaar and, it is my contention, it
exists in some form or another in all worlds that have magic. However, in
Cerilia (Aebrynis, actually) mebaighl, mana, or whatever you want to call
it, works very differently--perhaps because of the gods' interference early
on, perhaps because of the explosion. Nobody knows ... yet.
