Judging by the cover art for Cities of the Sun, written Basarji looks
very similar to Arabic. 'Self-Study Arabic' books in your local
library should be of some help, or, you can always cheat a little and
simply copy words from already-printed Arabic, whether it's from a
book or the ingredients list for a tin of baked-beans (don't laugh,
I've seen it happen).

"Once I was a lamb, playing in a green field. Then
the wolves came. Now I am an eagle and I fly in a
different universe."
"And now you kill the lambs," whispered Dardalion.
"No, priest. No one pays for lambs."

Has anyone developed the written language of Basarji? What are the =
characters of the language? =20

I am thinking of throwing a small segment of a treasure map to my party. =
However, no one in the party is of Khinasi descent and no one in the =
party can even speak Khinasi (Basarji) let alone read and write it. So, =
I thought it would be a good adventure hook to have words written on the =
map in Basarji, and possibly creating that item for the party.

If no one has developed the language, does anyone have a good idea on =
where to find info on which to base a written language?
