It probably works like the thorn throne in tuarhievel, if it doesn't "like"
the person attempting to become ruler it sends a spike through him.

Thanks for all the feedback on this thing. The reason I saw the elven
priest thing as a problem in the first place, is not that I wanted to
give the elves a religion, I just thought it was a disadvantage to elves
on the domain turn level that no elven regents could make use of the
potential temple holdings in their lands. Basically, it means that
1/4 of the potential of the province goes to waste. (In, other words,
elves can get 15 holdings out of a level 5 province, where humans can
get 20.) I think it's important to
keep from getting too close to the "humans in pointy ears" thing--so I
try to keep elven society much different. I think a player choosing to
play an elf should not have an identical experience to the human players
any more than an American would be right at home in Tibet. So, IMHO--I
keep elves and gods apart. Thanks for bringing up the Tuarhevel
Sourcebook--I meant to ask what was in the books on the elven domains in
my last post, but I forgot. I can't find any where I live. One other
thing--in the brecht book, it mentions "the land choosing it's ruler" in
Coulabhee. Does anyone know how this works?
