I have added a fun feature to the BRnet forums.

- a RPG level system. the more you post, they higher level you get. and if you dont post frequent then your hitpoint drop.

- an Itemshop ; for every post you make you get a gold bar (credit). and from those GB you can buy items in the itemshop. Link to itemshop is on the top nav bar once you login to the forum.

further it does nothing, but still ....... :)

have fun with it.

Arjan,

Very amusing. I hope that it increases postings.:) Can we make suggestions for items in the Itemshop? Will there be descriptions of the items in the shop? Is the bandana of babbling a cursed item that increases babbling? What is an echo screen? Will we be able to trade or give items to other members? Yes, you created a monster.

That would be cool. I think, there could be more "magical" armor in the item shop. Something like "Banded Mail of protection from insults" ;)

Here is the first of my item list:

Serious:
Brecht Fine Leather
Banded Mail of protection from elements (fire, cold, electricity, sonic, acid)
Fortification plate mail
Scale mail of fish command
Holy/ unholy chainmail

not this serious ;)
Banded mail of insult protection (stopps being insulted)
Boots of post increasing (creates a double post)
wand of babble stopping (cuts long posts to the half)
girdle of thread swelling (creats one aditional page of postings to the thread)
ring of invisibility vs. guests (only members can see you)

If I were to have a holding would there be a possibility to increase the holding's level at some point?

How about a ring of protection versus "rules lawyers"?

A robe of diversion (redirects the discussion off topic)?([_]

How about a Bane Sword versus Players who say, "That's not in the Monster Manual!"?

Ah, but such a system could be abused...
If I got really really bored, I could start a thread and reply to myself 18392.4 times...
But, I have better things to do.:)

So how much is the "usage tax" on selling stuff? I was fooling around and bought some stuff and then tried to sell it and now I'm in the poor house. ;).

HP = posts/100 * 4

What do MP represent?
EXP?

And your freindly neighborhood moderator would casually delete your 18392.4 posts and leave you as broke as a pauper. :P

I could buidl it in that when your hitpoints drop below 0 you're login account will be deleted from the database. This would indeed encourage members to start posting...

well you could start a fiction story on "the Bards tale" forum, and write a piece of text every day. i certainly dont have any problem with that, or write campaignlogs.

Yes, or you can create a character in the "Empty bucket Inn" section...
