Just a thought, but would it be of interest to other fans for the BRCS
to include some variant rules or guidelines on how to run a PBeM
campaign? Since most of the fans on this list and those which will read
the rules will likely play it over the net. Obviously PBeM have so many
Net(House) rules that it differs a bit from the "official" rules but I`m
interested in encouragement from Wizards since its this community that
kept the setting alive.

This is a can of worms that would probably never be resolved to a common ground. There were never any rules for PBEMs and everybody runs them differently. Chap 8 has variants for exp for domain actions which could be very useful in a PBEM game.

It was discussed by the development team and basically we decided that there was no way to come up with any sort of standard for this issue.

If those running PBEM get together and come up with some sort of standard it could always be included later.
